Starting anew: WashU’s Empower program helps educated refugees tackle language, career hurdles
2024-11-14—Refugee students participating in the EMPOWER program, run by WashU, take an English II class, at the Delmar DivINe. The EMPOWER program helps refugees gain the English language and career skills necessary to succeed in their new home country.
Free program is first of its kind in the nation.
