Jason Van Wey

Assistant Vice Chancellor for Federal Relations

Jason Van Wey is Assistant Vice Chancellor for Federal Relations at Washington University in St. Louis.  He is responsible for the university’s day-to-day communications with the U.S. Congress and Executive Branch agencies on national legislative and regulatory policies.  He also works closely with several national organizations that address the priorities of the university, such as the Association of American Universities and the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.

Prior to working at Washington University, Mr. Van Wey was a legislative assistant in the United States Senate and Assistant Director of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Washington, D.C. Office.

Jason Van Wey received his Master of Science in Technology Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from The Ohio State University. He also completed an international business management program at College des Ingenieurs in Paris, France.
