Jason Van Wey is the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Federal Relations at WashU. Based in St. Louis, Jason focuses on activities involving campus partners and national associations designed to influence the U.S. Congress and Executive Branch agencies to advance WashU’s national legislative and regulatory priorities.
Jason has over 25 years of experience of technology and higher education policy experience. Prior to working at WashU, he was a legislative assistant in the United States Senate and Assistant Director of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Washington D.C. Office.
Jason received his Master of Science in Technology Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from The Ohio State University. He also completed an international business management program at Collège des Ingénieurs in Paris, France.
